Synthesize

Yesterday was another pretty mundane day, I cleaned some trash out of my room and sold some brews to some trashy people. No, that's a lie, most of my crustomers are super classy. Rick is an example for the masses. "I'm going home for supper" is his tagline. He describes panhandling as 'workin'. The constantly morphing burns on his fingers hint at his true affection in life. My workplace is doing a charity drive this week to raise funds to help solve blood cancers. His 'workplace' involves hassling people for money on the grounds that he looks pathetic, and using that money to buy crack and liquor.

It is seriously liberating to chuck out the junk that accumulates. My broseph had been on for years about the joys of living without much stuff, but it had been lost on me. Mind you it is cool to stumble upon a cache of old slingshots, but it's not quite as cool to stumble upon a dust kingdom underneath some shelving. Finding cool forgotten stuff: +1, death to the dust kingdom: +2. I guess cleaning is worthwhile.
