The metal show last night was bomb. The boys from Ottawa had a wicked old-style metal groove thing going, I could definitely hear that they've listened to a lot of Black Sabbath, Kyuss and Motorhead. A bunch of cool dudes to boot, they gave me a patch, so I guess I need to make myself a patch jacket. I always considered myself a punk in disguise though, it's more fun when people assume I'm a square. Or some kind of a rectangle or trapezoid. You can't find my angles, monkey. We got a nice surprise last night because heavy Cambridge sludge dudes Greber headlined the shit out of that show. I got right close to mr. bassman (Marc), who nailed his tones with constant POG action. I could never get that pedal to sound good, but he slayed it. He didn't seem to like his stomp boxes much, or maybe he thought they were called spit boxes, because he kept on spitting on them. I thought he spat on my at one point, that filthy fucker (a good guy), but it was just his nasty headsweat that flung off his skull towards my face.
